The Training Continues
I decided to properly break in the hiking boots so took off back to the Connemara national park in Letterfrack to climb Diamond Hill.
To get “acclimatised” for Snowdon I also packed up a bag with some bits and bobs, so I definitely looked the part! I had been told that Diamond Hill was one of the easier climbs to do but we all have to start somewhere. I eventually made it up to the top in 40 minutes, and down in 30.
Even though it wasn’t as tough as some of the other climbs done by the group so far, it was still a great experience.
It’s on days like this that you appreciate what a beautiful country we live in (especially the
Connemara part!). The Snowdon views will have a lot to live up to!
